The Skagit Flats Winter Hawk Count -

Credits 1989-2004

The Count

The count was started by Bud Anderson and he ran it until the late 1990s when Bob Merrick took the reins. The count is carried out by FRG volunteers - a cast of hundreds.

Data Entry

Sue Clark spent many hours painstakingly entering the data into a GIS database.

Map-making

Computing facilities were provided by The Nature Conservancy of Washington (many thanks to Mark Goering, Zach Ferdana, and Jesse Langdon). The maps were created by Pat Little.
